Do you know our body is continuously exposed to different types of toxins? There are a number of effective methods of body detoxification, such as colon cleanse, ion foot bath detoxification, intestinal parasites cleansing, herbal detoxification, Candida cleanse and detox diet. What is a Detox Diet

Detox diet is a diet plan that helps detoxify the body by cleansing the colon, enhancing circulation to clear toxic substances from the body. In this diet plan, the foods that require detoxification or allergenic foods are eliminated. Detox diet is rich in nutrients that help protect and support the liver, which is the main organ involved in the detoxification process.

Detox diet mainly includes use of organic foods, which limits the quantity of chemicals ingested. It emphasizes foods that are rich in vitamins, antioxidants and essential nutrients that are needed for detoxification. High fiber diet and consumption of plenty of water is recommended in the detox diet plan. Thus, it eliminates toxins by increasing the frequency of urination and bowel movements.

Detox Diet Plan

Detox diet is also known as a cleansing diet. It includes different types of diets such as raw food diet, diuretic diet, fat flush diet, fruit diet, hallelujah diet, lemonade diet, liquid diets and liver cleansing diet. Generally, detox diet includes organic foods and drinks (no use of fungicides or pesticides), high amounts of fresh fruits and vegetables such as broccoli, cauliflower, onion and artichoke. and whole unprocessed foods like nuts, grains and seeds. You should also include certain herbs to improve the detoxification process.

You can have all forms of rice such as rice cakes, rice pasta and rice crackers. Brown rice is more preferred. Detox diet also includes sesame seeds, flax seed, sunflower seeds, almonds, walnuts and cashews. You can have different beverages such as water, herbal tea, green tea, lemon water and unsweetened juices. You need to drink at least 2 liters of water per day and avoid foods rich in sugar, wheat and wheat products and dairy products such as milk, butter and cream. You should strictly avoid refined and processed foods, caffeine, alcoholic drinks, drugs and tobacco.

Raw Food Diet: It includes fresh vegetables, fruits, seeds, nuts, grains and sprouted seeds. It also includes juices, dried fruits, flaked or rolled grains, spices and herbs. Raw foods provide all the essential enzymes, which are lost during the cooking process.

Diuretic Diet: It involves the use of natural diuretics to alleviate fluid retention. It includes foods such as parsley, celery seed, juniper berries, dandelion, melon, artichoke, watercress, as well as certain beverages such as tea, coffee and coke.

Fruit Flush: It recommends consumption of plenty of fruits. Fruits contain high amounts of water, vitamins, minerals, fibers and antioxidants. They help dissolve toxic substances, improve liver function and enhance energy level. In this diet plan, you are advised to eat fresh fruits of your choice, raw salad vegetables, lemons and olive oil. You should also drink plenty of water.

Fat Flush Diet Plan: It offers benefits of both body detoxification and weight loss. This diet plan recommends a low fat diet. You are advised to only have plenty of fruits, fruit juices and vegetables. This type of diet boosts metabolism, promotes fat loss and reduces water retention.

Lemonade Diet: It is also known as master cleanse diet. It is one of the most popular body cleansing diets. It is absolutely a liquid diet that includes consumption of water with sea salt, maple syrup, organic lemon juice and cayenne syrup. Consumption of solid foods is not allowed.

Liver Cleansing Diet: This diet includes consumption of raw vegetables. It improves functioning of the liver. It helps reduce certain health problems such as abdominal bloating, fatigue, excessive body heat, overburdened immune system, gall bladder diseases, etc. as well as reduces obesity.

Liquid Diet: It is also known as juice fasting. This type of diet is helpful for detox as well as weight loss. It includes only vegetable and fruit juices that are rich in vitamins, minerals and phytochemicals.

Benefits of Detox Diet

Detox diet neutralizes and removes harmful toxic chemicals from your body and offers a number of health benefits. It reduces many health problems and helps improve body functioning. Some health benefits of detox diet are smooth, clear skin, improved digestion, regular bowel movements, improved energy and increased concentration. Detox diet is also helpful for healthy weight loss.

However, before starting detox diet, you should consult the doctor. Detox diet is not recommended for children and pregnant women. People with eating disorders, anemia, thyroid diseases, kidney diseases, autoimmune disorders, diabetes and other chronic conditions should not try this diet plan. Or it should be followed under the supervision of a healthcare professional.

Detox diet helps improve your health by promoting the elimination of toxins through kidneys, intestine and skin, improving blood circulation and refueling the body with healthy nutrients. It also strengthens the immune system, which in turn increases resistance against various diseases and infections. Thus, detox diet is a key to physical as well as mental health, leading to a healthy life.
